About Us

The mission of the Institute for Leaders in Development 

at University of Denver is to elevate Colorado’s nonprofit 

fundraising leaders by providing professional advancement opportunities that promote longevity in the field and excellence in philanthropy. 

The highly selective program identifies Colorado’s emerging development leaders and guides them through a rigorous, relevant and applied curriculum, passing the torch to up-and-coming non-profit leaders that will impact individual lives and diverse communities for years 
to come. 

The Institute for Leaders in Development is actively seeking candidates and volunteers from all racial and ethnic backgrounds and from nonprofit organizations of all sizes, missions, and budget ranges.


The Institute for Leaders in Development at the University of Denver is recognized as a thriving network dedicated to elevating the skills and talents of development professionals to preserve and grow the vitality of the philanthropic sector in Colorado.
